Obsessive book reader. Dog lover. I'll never remember your name but I'll name every one of the dogs you've owned. In order. With their full history.

Just here for animals, books & no politics/arguing. Thanks 😊
She was given a lit cigarette by him to try when she was FOUR! They heard their parents come in and she sat on it burning her bottom.

He got a good hiding but so did she for being stupid 😲

They were the chalk replicas displayed in shop windows & they fell for it every time 😂

He also used to pee in a bottle and pretend it was lemonade although only one sister fell for it - repeatedly (and no it wasn't mum) 🤢

No problem 😁
Mam talked about her childhood in the mid 1930's & I'm so glad she did. Some of the things she and her 9 siblings got up to were hilarious.

I can remember doing the 'I need to go' dance when I was about 6 & having to wait while mum tried to warm the seat with a hot water bottle! I felt sorry for her though. I was so scared of the outside loo & possible spiders (even though she kept it spotless), she had to wait outside for me 😂

Wasn't so nice in winter when your skin stuck to the seat!

Age verification?

Outside toilet. Tin bath hung up in the back yard. No inside bathroom. No TV. Jam butties when the food ran out.
Dolly tub and mangle.
Cockroaches buried in plaster that came out at night.
Coal fire, no central heating.

Not THAT old. Just my parents couldn't afford anything!

One of our 🇬🇧 heroes this 🤡 disrespected abominably.

Back in 1978 when I was 13, it was 8pm. By 16 up to leaving school, 9pm. After that 10pm.

Mum was very strict. I wasn't allowed to read, it was straight to bed!

Years later she told me it was because she was tired out herself and wanted some 'me time' for herself.

Totally understandable 😃

Why does he need a ballroom? Can the orange, fat slob even dance?

Awww. I'm not a big lover of them although I can eat them.

Snap. I gave up my job & did 7 years. My mum always said 'you shouldn't be doing this for me' I told her she'd brought me up & it was a privilege. I honestly meant it.

It also showed me just who my 'friends' were & after her death, I also cut 98% of my so called 'caring' family out of my life!

Oh absolutely, she was amazing but I don't want to look 83.....

I was mistaken for my older sister's mum the other week. My sister is 68 next week 😭😱

For years my sister, nephew and myself never bothered with each other but for some reason, we did last year.

Unusually for me (I'm more of a 'it's in December DAMMIT' kind of person), I've bought all my presents!

No they sell toiletries.

I said the same to my sister about 6 weeks ago. 'The shelves are practically empty' and we both thought 'oh no, it's going bust'. It's is/was a cracking shop - better than the extortionate Superdrug.
