I tried doing it all on DPNs but kept dropping stitches and confusing myself. I now have the short circular needle sussed.

Good thinking, use a bit of physics and not just brute force.

Some plants are really tenacious. We did try and divide this grass a couple of years ago but two people and two forks were not sufficient. I need to recruit some friends and power tools 🛠️
