I began reporting this story last fall and for a bunch of reasons, it's taken this long to be published. I'm really proud of it and of the people who were brave enough to share their stories with me. And make no mistake, they are brave.

I ask myself this daily. I should be asking it of my Trumpy cousin, but when I messaged him that I hoped his life improves under the new administration (because mine sure hasn't), he responded with a rant of misspelled misinformation. Then he urged me to open an account on the Crypto exchange. 😢

That's my sister's book, "We Had Fun and Nobody Died." It's great. You should all read it!
"Notable in nonfiction was the rollicking We Had Fun and Nobody Died: Adventures of a Milwaukee Music Promoter by Shank Hall owner Peter Jest and Milwaukee Public Library reference librarian Amy T. Waldman, an enlightening read that chronicles the state’s music scene over the past four decades."

That's my sis there on the left. And the book is great!
Shank Hall owner Peter Jest’s journey as a music promoter is detailed in the new biography "We Had Fun and Nobody Died," written with Milwaukee writer, editor and librarian Amy Waldman. Lots of great stories in the book.

My editors liked my posts on the plane crash so much that they wanted to turn it into a story -- so of course, I improved on what I wrote here earlier. The bottom line? Don't rush to conclusions. buffalonews.com/news/local/w...
Jerry Zremski: The plane crash in D.C. feels like déjà vu. But there are major differences with Flight 3407
The aviation safety law passed under pressure from the Flight 3407 families meant that pilots are better trained and better rested. The skies are safer as a result, Zremski writes.
