It happens during these arctic blasts, ice storms (sometimes) and forest fires. It's legit.

Yeah, we need to be aware, but not wallow in the chaos.

My dog died right before Christmas, I spent a lot of time grief knitting. Not a great way to avoid the chaos, but I've stuck to the no-Internet routine. Now I balance mornings between what makes me happy and housework. There's just so much shit.

This is true in all areas of life, not just gaming.

Being a fan can be exhausting.

They've always been exhausting.

I spent the week before Christmas grief-knitting a dozen hats. They were given away to charity because I knew the emotions and the items would forever be connected in my mind, but something positive could come from it. I learned that lesson long ago.

These Governors, Mayors, LEOs are saying these things to cover their own asses. They don't follow through on any of this when ICE breaks the law.

I hear you. Decades ago, I found my own way to hold my hooks, needles, and yarn. You'll find what works best for you. 😀

You can find crochet cast on knitting videos on YouTube, the tension in your edge stitches would be more consistent when you use a crochet hook to get the yarn on the needle.

The one near my gram's neighborhood would burn a batch once in a while and, believe me, that was rough.

My family experienced this. It can be unsettling to feel grief and comfort (they are together) at the same time. I feel for your family.

She's paying you back for something you did at some point in your childhood.

He knew.

I know they knew what I was thinking. Yeah, we've come to an insane place down here.
December 9, 2025 at 4:57 AM
Earlier, I noticed flashing lights outside & looked out the window. LEOs were parked behind a car in the middle of the street. It's a busy street. Saw lettering on back of a jacket (not an LEO), thought it was ICE. Went out in my flannel nightgown. 🤣Wasn't ICE, car broke down. The "WTF" looks 🤣

It's OK, we like to teach, and you can't escape.
