Majorca was lovely - we went to the bits where not many other people were! Anna has an incredible memory so I’m not surprised … I’m glad it wasn’t on a shout! 🔥

I’ll check for you when I’m next in Martin, just back from a week of Majorcan mountain hikes!

Yes definitely a possibility - we’re getting very small hoglets in from second litters now so it’s not too late in the year!

I need a #bird ID please friends. Spotted just now. Lots of wing fluttering as per a juvenile. Tiny and sleek shaped with a fine bill

Is it a Chiff Chaff?

We are in rural east of East Sussex, South East England

Amongst a background of green shrubbery and sword-like NZ Palm leaves a tiny, young, brown bird is fluttering its wings as it perches on a black metal crook

Storm? What storm? 😉

We’ve swapped the Shropshire Hils for Majorcan mountains this week … a lovely hilly hike on the Cam des Rest from Sóller today.
Wooden signpost saying Cam Des Rest, stick into some stony ground. A stony path weaving its way uphill between rocks and trees. A landscape of green treetops with the Mediterranean on the horizon. An olive tree grove growing on red brown soil with some mountains in the distance.

I’ll join you with that one.

Who or What am I? Hint 1: Largely nocturnal. spends the day concealed in a lair that it has hollowed out under foliage or beneath a root or a stone. It becomes active at dusk and spends the night hunting for the invertebrates on which it feeds. Descriptive hint at noon.

Ohhh have a lovely time! We’ve already had our annual trip, but the next one is booked. Bet it’s changed a lot. Are all the eateries still open? Can recommend Dibble and Grub.
