Anton mentioned CWFC interest (haven’t heard that anywhere else) + PSG were willing to make her one of the highest paid players a few seasons ago (I’m not aware of their current squad needs/plans). Would be surprised if clubs are not interested after the very tangible difference she’s made at AWFC

CK has most of the leverage here. We don’t really have a great track record for developing younger players. This is a ready now winger, coach really likes her, gets on well with her teammates and has made a real impact on performances. Seems fair to update our wage structure to fit her in.

I get that AWFC values sustainability—but when does a sustainable model become unsustainable? CK came in & we won the UWCL. Now’s the time to spend big and trust that today’s risk can 5x future returns. Negotiations dragging over wages… There is a mirror into which AWFC are not looking (Kerolin ♻️)

Yeah still think LW could be effective in the middle but with no Bright there’s no way we see that happen. It’s a risk choosing Michelle over another midfielder. I hope she gets rewarded for it because I always assumed she’d go the safer option.

Not a question but u must include an ode to LW. She’s been criticized left & right all season. To show up with that performance, on that stage, against FCB. All the emotions she probably had to juggle… WOW 👏👏👏

Post Euros do we think moving LW to the 6 is feasible? Don’t see us getting the right 6 this summer. Think we’re wasting MC deep tbh esp when we need to create. United game imo highlighted need for a 10. LW13 hasn’t looked as effective/productive all season.

This feels different though. We were in control at 4-1. KM lost her head and directly contributed to their 2 goals. In the last 3 games, we’ve gone from conceding .74 goals per game to 1.18, LHS doesn’t look good imo. This game felt more like a discipline issue more than the other basketball games

I agree that DVD bails us out & u need ur keeper to do that. Just think the same logic applies to the defenders no? And yes ok say playing in front of Manu makes them nervous, but they get themselves back in the game!! The manner in which they let the game slip by though is inexcusable.

I don’t think any of those reasons played a role in how we conceded/ the types of goals we conceded. In fact the weather helped us in that game! Manu has regressed yes, but my point was she is not the start nor the end of our defensive issues.

We have more pretenders than real leaders. In fact lately they’ve been the first to lose their heads they don’t inspire any sort of comeback or belief. I’m disappointed in every single one of them. After everything we’ve been through this season such a shameful way to go out

Our worst defensive performances with DVD in goal. The spine of that defense ie the CB pair is not good enough.

It seems we’re so open since Lyon in part bc we’re unable to pin sides back w/our press, in turn making it tougher to progress the ball, in turn leading to turnovers. Did that win in France take so much out of the players that they’ve hit the wall?

The loss today more on the players. didn't show any initiative or hunger. Compare their body language vs the West Ham comeback. Sad truth is this group don't have it in them to be consistent. They've shown us time & time again that they cannot deliver when the going gets tough

We don't have a functioning 6. KL struggled to impact the game, MC understandably tired & still produced. The defensive display we served up today after the last game is inexcusable. Struggling to understand why RS played a high line but then again it's worked for the majority of the season 1/2
