What was your first reaction seeing him in the car, Spanners? Lots of varied opinions out there. Do we think it suits him better or too early to say?

I genuinely didn’t know you could buy it. I thought it had to be made by hand every Christmas morning (specifically by my uncle who refused to explain why it barely tasted of anything but butter and sugar and yet the bottle was always emptied)

I’m a risk manager: literally paid to look ahead for the worse and mitigate it. I have been trying to curb the tendency to let that bleed into my non work life. Making time to appreciate the good moments has helped but I have to work at it

Lovely post. We also appreciated the quiet joy of a rare day together. As for wondering about 2025, the last time I was curious about the year ahead was NYE 2019….. actively try not to do it anymore

The brining went well. The cooking is much more stressful as the oven door has decided not to shut. Thankfully my son is an engineer and had a “solution”. Merry Christmas Nigella 🎄
