They are underpaid and because of the rise of the "Advanced" roles in hospitals and GP surgeries jobs are becoming scarcer.
Meanwhile we the public are being fobbed off with non doctors.
Their assistants with only a basic 2 year course are paid over £5 ph more than fully qualified Doctors.

I read very recently that's not quite true as it costs each taxpayer the princely sum of 19p per person per year. Personally I don't object to that.
