takes me 3 seconds to make a post on here, 20 min to read a chapter of one piece, 4 weeks to write an email

wishing I were a music producer or hiphop artist rn so I could just casually do a silly EP alongside some other producer or rapper & the process of doing this would involve a basement full of wires in LA somewhere & being constantly high on drugs

Did I imagine a really good imade of elric in a sort of Yoshitaka Amano pose in front of an enormous eye? does anyone know that image? kind of the the middle point between these two images:
Elric by Yoshitaka Amano, dressed in beetle black armour against a writhing white dragon backdrop. a Tzeentch sorcerer by Adrian Smith. a space marine stands with his hands on a sword against a giant eye backdrop in greens and purples.

oh I know ha ha (sorry if this came across as a bit harsh), am talking specifically the mainstream preference for pixar/dreamworks type 3d as what an animated feature 'should' look like

if there was an iceberg of moon knowledge this would have to be at the very bottom

optimistic part of me says they might play w those kinds of textures in 3d animation as well? feels like the medium is slowly moving away from being literalist, what with the spiderverse-arcane type stuff

there was an ancient tv series made by slavs iirc, some episodes have been compiled into movies in more recent times

but yeah it's all a bit dumb

on the + side though I remember a time when indie animation was like, 3 minute student shorts made by canadians or something, so while a lot of it isn't my cup of tea it's still nice to see smaller studios/creators able to do more w 2D these days

I also think it's an immature understanding of aesthetics on the part of the money men & maybe also audiences, where more 'realistic' rendering equals better. so since cg gets you glossy eyes & individual strands of hair it's the superior medium

do I separate my sentences like this or keep em as a solid rounded paragraph. choices choices

(plant is prob S. pusilla or S. muscicola. both are native to rj according to internet sources. I'm not enough of a gesneriads nerd to say for sure but happy to have found them in the wild)

I want this to be 2D? ik 2D features have been outlawed in the US but one can dream. early sugar, su pilot type lines & shapes would actually be a good match for the moomins

Rebecca Sugar (Steven Universe) to direct a "Moomins" animated feature film.

I also think a Kiruna-style migration of London buildings across the landscape, loaded onto some sort of barge etc. would make for good slow tv

think of us other europeans being denied visa-less London access. you can put it off to the side somewhere, it's a large & sparsely populated island

not there yet, just trying to find some place to stay last week before I go back to Europe; flights from there to France are a bit cheaper vs Rio & might as well see the place while I'm at it
