8 October 2025

Sky News host James Macpherson discusses Senator Jacinta Nampijinpa Price hitting out against Liberal Party infighting.

“The Liberal Party is an absolute clown show, I’m not saying that, Senator Jacinta Nampijinpa Price is saying that,” Mr Macpherson said.

I'm running out of services to stream. I ditched all the social media platforms but #Bluesky, and will be cancelling #Disney once the last #OnlyMurdersintheBuilding drops and Amazon/Apple once the last #SlowHorses drops. I know I'm weak but they are quality shows. All that's left now is #HBOMax.

Spot on. Independents hold regular meetings with their constituents as they're not betraying them. Do the same for every MP.

How do senior public servants get terminated from a role and still get a $900k payout on the way out?!

There needs to also be more transparency about the reason for the former Secretary's departure.

The distance between voters and their elected representatives is too vast, allowing them to shovel dodgy policy down our throats with impunity. Let's have mandatory town hall confrontations with their constituents televised live so they have to answer for their stupidities and corruption. #auspol

Just so we’re clear: Labor is choosing to work with the worst possible party on environmental issues, instead of the Greens and teals who actually want environmental regulation.
And Watt is already admitting it won’t have a climate trigger …
Watt nears deal with Coalition to finally overhaul environment laws
Environment Minister Murray Watt will sit down with his Liberal counterpart Angie Bell today, with quiet optimism in both parties that a deal might soon be struck to finally rewrite Australia's "broke...

The primary vote of parties has been declining for decades and the crossbench now makes up an equal third. This points to a very slow evolution away from partisan politics in which Independents and minor parties have bigger clout. Painfully slow, though, for impatient reformers like myself.

He is revelling in his own twisted bravado. Its an aspect of his power that he can lie and no one calls him out. That is why they keep getting more ridiculous. He is showing you how tough he is by lying more theatrically.

Quick summary of the guaranteed basic income trial results in Boulder, CO. A floor of $500/mo for 2 years led to a significant reduction in food insecurity, more education and training, and stronger physical and mental health, with no negative impact on employment.

More spin than a laundrette is my quick takeaway from the government’s lazy response to the Tasmanian Planning Commission’s deep analysis of the Macquarie Point Stadium proposal. Frankly, it reads like a consultant’s report created using ChatGPT that wouldn’t convince even the most avid 1/2

To the NACC: can you tell us why there haven't been any public hearings into the Robodebt matter?

It has cost $1.138 million and counting for the independent lawyer the NACC has had to hire to fix the mess their Commissioner made of the Robodebt inquiry

Compromised decision making costs public money and trust.
