Yes, nazism was inspired by and started out as a form of fascism, but after it became more popular than fascism it started branching out and became it’s own thing, especially after the surrender of Italy in 1943

So basically national socialism is a blend of “national” (fascist totalitarian control and national superiority) and “socialist” (centralised economy, state owned labor and other pro totalitarian concepts introduced in socialism)
