The creator of it then looks at the data and then see if it as data they actually want to follow through with/supports the goal they have in mind. In the end it was always in their hands whether they think the data is stuff they want to go along with.

The reverse could just as well be said if the survey was spread out in pro-ai circles and results came out pro-ai. Surveys like this on a whole are meant to be a temp check to weight the opinions/feelings of many people in volunatary manner.
