I read that as “if there are fewer trains running, then the ones that are left won’t have as many delays.” Which sounds like they’re treating the symptom rather than the problem.

If demand is lower than capacity, even without that train, then it might make sense I guess.

Good luck, stick with it, it’ll get easier, and then they’ll start conspiring against you to make it harder again.

It feels like way more than twice as much work as one.

Turn around for 30 seconds to get baby ready, look back, and the 5yo (who still only has one trouser leg on) has emptied a toy box to find a painted lolly stick from his nursery days. “Can I take this for show and tell?”

When he really wants to get my attention, mine calls me “Dan”. It’s unnerving.

Mostly good, tough at times. His preschool was small, and now he gets scared sometimes in a playground with hundreds of kids. He says he isn’t making friends, but the list of names he talks about gets longer every week. And he genuinely seems to like the new challenges and learning.

Slightly off topic, but mad how the school thing works. Lived here for seven years. My son started school in September, and suddenly I’m saying “hi” to 2-3 people every time I leave the house.
