My first experience of a PhD. defence in Sweden as an "opponent" was hugely interesting & intellectually stimulating. I met very cool scientists; reunited with a friend after more than 10 years & celebrated the new Dr's success in a lovely winter wonderland location. I even survived -9 degrees!!! 🥶
