Love all the new mug shots on your website.

Agreed, walking seems to be a magic bullet for health. A free app called Strava records your mileage, steps, time walked and elevation gained. This motivates you to do more. Walking also resets your mind from day to day stresses. London is a magic place to explore and see new things.

I haven’t seen that one, ta. I try and do things like the London marathon or Hackney or Royal Parks half the day before, all the barriers are up so you don’t get lost and no press or crowds. No registering fun and games either.

Yes that’s a good one, quarter it? To Streatham, to Richmond etc. Another TFL one is the London Loop, more rural but some beauty places. There’s routes like the Monopoly board cards in one go, I did the Christmas lights up west yesterday. I’m lucky to have a free tube/rail/bus pass so hammer it.

I walk down the Lea from Chingford to Limehouse, or cutting off down the Greenway to Woolwich. I’ve ‘done’ all the tube lines, station to station overground , the 6 newly renamed overgrounds and recently the DLR. Onto the Elizabeth line over Christmas.

Ahhh it looks like you followed the river Lea & Limehouse cut. This was a good one I did last week.

Are you on strava, to follow? I walk a lot through Hackney & Walthamstow and always looking for new routes. I’m not back to 10/15 miles a day (after an Achilles) … yet, but I’ll get there.

All over 60 year old London residents get a free tube/rail/bus pass to anywhere on the underground map. I hammer this ‘golden ticket’ 😂
December 21, 2025 at 9:53 AM
Unlike Nerja, most new flats in London do not have underground parking and local councils will not allocate on street parking to anyone at these addresses. This is a move towards active travel supported by good public transport.

Thanks Janey, Kit & Giles for today’s show. Loved the Benjamin Zephaniah poem.

Good show today, thanks. All over 60 year old Londoners get a free tube card! Ive used mine to walk every tube line overground!, and the newly renamed overground lines. Zoe Tehrani on insta is worth a follow as she puts up interesting shorter walks. Rain stopped play today after 7 miles thru Hackney

Please don’t use the word accident when reporting on crashes, collisions or incidents as this implies a blameless act. Here’s a Carlton Reid article: www.forbes.com/sites/carlto...
Most U.K. Police Forces Now Use ‘Incident’ Not ‘Accident’ Finds Research
It's "crash, not accident."

Here’s the TFL cable cars leaving the O2 Greenwich. £7 single or £13 return for adults.

We have them here in Waltham Forest. There’s always one motorist who takes more pavement that makes it hard for pedestrians to pass. maps.app.goo.gl/9GEMTzkZisEd...
