This is a great example of how white cisgender men can wield their privilege for good. Congressman Self folded immediately when another man pushed back on his hateful, transphobic rhetoric.
Republican congressman Keith Self introduced transgender Representative Sarah McBride as "Mr. McBride."
Sarah snapped back and called him madam chair.
Dem Congressman Bill Keating went off on Rep. Self and adjourned the meeting over his lack of decorum and purposeful targeting of Sarah McBride.
