I have my fullsized keyboard now, got a couple short practice sessions in but i need to carve out the regular time for like, and hour every day. i got a late meeting today and im thinking after that is when ill do some practice.

i think i located a keyboard thats better for practice. in the meantime ive been practicing my drum patterns, had to remind myself that drummers only have 4 limbs and that made things easier

i havent been very actively looking into the background of most of the tracks ive listened to for a while, i know a lot of my fav tunes come from ye olde demoscene, but i still find myself shocked by the volume of music i keep discovering from those times.

going out of my way to discover new stuff for dj reasons has been fun. im a very obessive listener, so i dont venture out much from the same 12 songs im listening to at any given moment usually

Learning music production and hearing about old favs using AI tools to make music is so surreal. Like, making music is so hard and its gonna take a lot of work for me to make something decent enough to feel good releasing, but once i still cherish every one of my flops. I did that!

Two of my friends know about this persona now. Less secret then i would want it to be but hey they are good points of contact in music so im not upset about it. Just gonna be a bit difficult to stay secret long enough for the rest of my friends not to notice my bad embarrassing music aaaa

I wrote lyrics that i didnt hate today and sung them a bunch over a loop i made. Problem was i couldnt land on one specific way to sing them. Lots of fun tho!

Ive been less writing and more trying to play tunes i know on the keyboard. I keep finding my intuition for where notes are is holding me back during composition. Ive played a few instruments before and i know i can build that intuition by just having fun and playing songs i know from memory

Went a couple days not bleeping bloops, but like, i *felt* the absence of it like the way i *feel* it when i dont make time to draw in a day.

I mostly used youtube to listen to music, but recently started using keygenmuisc.tk for my keygen fix and its kinda game changing.
Im a bit of an obsessive when it comes to music, ill find something i like and just loop it forevern. But letting this site go on and on like a radio has been great

Im starting to really enjoy sequencing drums. Since my background in music is like... Band in school, i kinda felt fakr unless i could perform something but like. Im getting the same kind of good vibes from sequencing that i get from executing a complex drawing idea.

Something that is odd about my current skill level with music production is that ive always been highly critical about other peoples music, so i know a lot of tells for amature musicians.
