Eh there's a trust that artists will keep their artistic sincerity. The inherent distrust is still there but it's pointed at the sponsor not at the sponsored.

same thing happened with sherlock a decade ago. Not related to AI i think

Idk if that was an intentional blue prince joke but it's funnier if it isn't
January 7, 2026 at 3:45 AM
This is blue prince slander and I will NOT allow it

No I mean to get this conversation on the heads of the people on the broadcast. I doubt that Jordan's answer on the survey moves the needle much, but speaking with someone actually might have a tangible effect

Speaking as someone who's relatively new to magic (and even newer to watching comp) how likely would it be for players to actually talk with the broadcast team? Is this something that could be talked with people rather than through the poll?

Okay reading this it sounds like a bot reply but I promise I'm a human xd
January 6, 2026 at 12:11 PM
Sorry, I don't understand what you meant.
January 6, 2026 at 12:11 PM
Okay but we cannot expect the broadcast to know a 1000 player stories. Giving them any indication helps them. I dont resent, highlighting teamwork. I think giving a "no, I don't think i will' answer hurts more than it helps. They are not the cops, they don't deserve what I think is a pedantic answer
January 6, 2026 at 5:18 AM
Or maybe its to give the broadcast a list of players to highlight. If every player agrees that a certain new name is on the rise then they'll champion that person. Everything is manufactured. This is for an ad for a card game. If you'd like the game to live on, help it by making the broadcast better

But it could say what team it believes will improve further or work cohesively more. It feels like it's trying to avoid giving a helpful answer more than a sincere answer to the question.
Something like "I disagree that there can only be one player so team lightningbolt seems like..." (tweetlengh)
January 6, 2026 at 4:14 AM
But in my mind Jason is saying "I don't believe in your framework" while giving another framework in the next question. That personal framework could work as an answer
January 6, 2026 at 4:05 AM
But improving means you're becoming better than before. Who is willing to improve more by your metrics seems like a decent reply. Not necessarily measuring people between each other by skill level but by who is more willing to do what you believe.
January 6, 2026 at 3:36 AM
Okay but by your metric you could answer who you believe is more likely to ask for help and learn from others in the question for "who is better?" no?

is it uw or ub?
