This is such a cliched type of post to make so I wanna promise I'm not just leftist-venting, but games really get hurt in all ways by how little time they had before capitalism made it an Industry. Commercialism is so thoroughly baked into gaming culture.

What I find sad is that some otherwise cool seeming leftist on this site get all defensive when you point out that their partaking dunk culture sucks ass and they pretend they're doing a great service to marginalized groups by doing it. They seem to think "ratio" actually matters?

I've been on a "everything is subjective, scores are absolutely meaningless" zen trip for a while now and it made the hobby better for me. Thinking critically about something is kinda the opposite as attaching a number from the sliding scale of bad to good to it
