I'm tired and multitasking so forming a cohesive thought is rough :'D but all I'm getting at is that their ENTIRE TEAM didn't bother to learn where AI got its info, or they learned and didn't care, until AFTER finding out some of the info was wrong

I just don't trust their judgement

Their research team has been getting lazy over the years and this video kind of proves that. Granted I will give them points for fact checking thoroughly, but they don't get points for being so eager to use a machine that's known to steal material for other people.

The issue with them setting aside the theft angle is how they were eager to use AI anyway, but only stopped because it gave them bad info. They didn't stop because it was mostly stolen info. They could have learned it was stolen to start with.

My main issue with the video IS that it's too short and shallow for how deep the topic is and it treats certain aspects like they're not that important

But I've also had issues with some of their takes in the past (their animation is always stellar tho)

People patting Kurz on the ass over their new anti-AI video while ignoring the fact they didn't use it because it was wrong 20% of the time, and not because it was stealing info from sources who lose traffic because of theft.

They only mentioned the latter after the AI was wrong.

At one point I was running lost in an open field of tall grass, pitch black outside save for the dim red glow of a darkened sun setting in the distance, and my phone flashlight to show me what I'm running into

I saw a young child also lost in the grass, but they couldn't hear me and they ran off 😐
