"can you ship code" is a problem inherent to capitalism. Whether or not you can produce a product to be sold is not as important as producing a quality product. It's possible, but the overwhelming cultural force is towards shipping, not quality control.

Well without getting into it too deep; many of them will actually be fine, those out in rural areas. They have this disproportionate voting power due to gerrymandering so they are now able to fuck over big cities and the entire federal government while none of it effects them.

Yeah, the fractured nature of Linux means finding the right fit can take longer.
As for discord, I had issues because Wayland had screenshare ability issues, so I ended up using Vesktop (3rd party discord client) that worked much better than the actual discord client lol

Many distros now have built in support for Nvidia drivers. Most newish hardware runs better than ever.
I run Pop!_OS daily and love it. Gaming, Dev work, casual browsing and tinkering. I don't miss windows at all.
