Celebrate the small wins. I work in politics down in DC and I promise you it’s demoralizing and exhausting (I’m also a dolphins fan lol).

I guess my whole thing is unless ewers or Wilson magically are the answer, what do we do next year? It feels like whatever guy we draft in 3-5 and whatever FA vet reclamation guy isn’t going to be tangibly better than re-motivated Tua?

Guys like Pat mahomes who’s clearly regressed in terms of technical footwork but has a cannon to make up for it. It sucks but if he wants to stay great he has to be a top 1% grinder like Brady to keep it working. Do we think he’s capable or of getting that drive back?

My theory on this whole thing is that he took one off season to take his foot off the gas, and because like you said, he’s so surgical and precise in what does make him elite and he doesn’t have the athletic traits to make up for it. When he backs off even 1% it looks much worse than say….

Do you think Tua is done totally? Or do you think barring a Quinn Ewers/ or Zach Wilson master class he’ll have a shot to start again next year and compete with a rookie and FA vet? Or has that ship sailed with the benching?

Unfortunately, I don’t think he’s anything to write home about. That being said, we have to at least see if we have someone who can be in our QB room next year considering we’ll likely draft a mid round guy and sign a vet to compete for the starting job with Tua next year.
