There's very compelling evidence and reasoning for its employment as a professional tool for scientific fields like medicine and astronomy within which you have to crunch a lot of huge numbers and look for patterns.

But for the artist? Maybe as a smart Ctrl+V?

For the rest of us? HAH no.

I've met a few research scientists and IT number crunchers and their reactions have been the same:

They loathe it being foist upon literally everything in a repeat of the Dotcom bubble, but they sing its praises when it comes to sorting through a lot of a data.

I believe the comparison to VR is quite adequate. I don't feel it's 1 to 1 since this a development that we don't really need this in the consumer market, but I feel it's way more accurate than NFT and crypto comparisons.

I fly for a living, so I meet a lot of different professionals.

Also, Jocelyne Lamoureux-Davidson's deke at the 2018 Pyeongchang games to clinch Gold for the US in a shootout vs. Canada was pinnacle and I will not be accepting any arguments.
