The UN wouldn't be concerned by the law though. It only applies to people working for the provincial gov. (Though i'm sure the CAQ will try to pass a few crazy laws before they get kick out)

L'office isn't just some kind of language police. They are responsible for a lot of distinct Quebec French feature. They recommended the feminisation of job name way before France(Still not fully adopted there.) and tech words like courriel, pourriel, balado.

Most people in Wallonia, Belgium don't speak Dutch. Even though the Flanders are the majority. Again they aren't evil, They just have a different 'reality' than the Flanders. They are very oriented toward France who is one of the greatest cultural powerhouse of Europe. It's the same thing for the 🇨🇦.

Some people seem to think Anglo-Canadian do not learn French because of some kind of 'malice' or it's just the english culture. But it's just a natural phenomenon. It's for the same reason that the rest of the English-Speaking world is mostly monolingual too. 1)
