Yuck! My grandparents all can from around Kiev, definitely no sweet gefilte fish in my background. In fact my dad always ate his oatmeal with a bit of added salt, no milk or sugar for him.

It is even worse for those that can’t hide their differences, but no one should need to or feel the need to. I just hope the pendulum swings back soon

Sweet? My dad always boiled it with carrots and served with the red horseradish, that way it was yummy! But I mean all differences, religion, heritage, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, … so many more. It just feels like if you don’t fit into ‘their perfect person’ you are to be feared 😔

I was brought up in a very similar way and think of my judaism in a very similar way. But I wish I could live in a world where all differences were celebrated instead of things to be hidden for fear of others reactions. I mean ALL differences 😔

So, it has been a very hard week physically and I had a total fail trying to make vases for my son’s wedding at pottery class tonight, but at least these cute guys were ready for me to pick up 🤪

I eat them everyday day in my yummy homemade granola. My trick it to go for a walk after breakfast to give them a chance to remove themselves, then when I get home I blast them with a waterpik and brush my teeth and I am ready to face the day 🥰
