Like, the Imperial City in Cyrodiil, which we first see depicted in Oblivion, is described in lore as situated in the middle of a jungle surrounded by canals and rice paddies. Its inhabitants worship countless gods and minor deities. I'm so sad that this isn't the Imperial City we see in Oblivion.

Old Elder Scrolls games (including Morrowind though I didn't play that one specifically so I can't speak as directly on it) were a lot more weird (in a good way) and fleshed out in terms of lore.

Oblivion and Skyrim really dumbed down the setting to be more generic fantasy.

Khajit (and Argonians) are fun but I feel like Oblivion and Skyrim really underutilised Khajit in terms of lore. They are quite possibly some of Tamriel's oldest inhabitants and might predate the arrival of mer and men to the continent. There's so much more that could be explored there.

Khajit I feel like could be so much better if more of their lore and society from the setting was integrated into the games but I feel like modern Elder Scrolls games fall short of that, so they just tend to end up as generic cat people.

Charr are absolutely amazing.

Topping a savoury dish with a fried egg is a pretty common addition in Japan, to my knowledge! ^^

Oh it is absolutely enjoyable in the proper circumstance~

I think there is a certain segment of people who aren't strongly motivated by any particular deeply-held beliefs or ideals and thus are easily swayed by whatever appears to be the norm and them getting any kind of prominence means that they feel obliged to perform certain attitudes to stay relevant.

The current US regime is extremely reactionary, and fascistic, but it's also a kleptocracy motivated in large part by naked greed and corruption. Regimes of this nature abhor strong institutions and controls and must undermine them for their own power but this also unleashes chaos.

Kakistocracy, TIL!

I feel that one element of the regime that gets overlooked is dedicated to exploiting power and state institutions for personal aggrandisement, enrichment, and score-settling. This kind of cannibalising of institutions is anathema to long-term stability.

It's a bizarre cocktail of ignorance, entitlement, and a victim complex.

IMO, it's the kind of people who claim to be progressive but chafe at the idea that they aren't seen as an authority on everything or that being a self-proclaimed "ally" doesn't let them into every space or conversation.

I think that kind of thing is a combination of wanting to perform for one's followers but also lacking real insight or deep thoughts about the state of the world, current affairs, society in general, etc. and being sheltered enough to not have to reconsider such things.

I think the thing we should bear in mind is that AI is a bubble.

Like any other bubble throughout history, it's primarily chased by the lavishly rich and their sycophantic hangers-on.

Eventually that bubble is going to burst.

Oooh! I saw this one a long time ago and always wondered where it came from! Lovely!

And also black lips, fangs, giantess, demoness? Yeah that's pretty much transition goals for me. :3

It’s such fun to tease a worshipper with *exactly* what they really want. Hopefully they provide lots of squirms too~

Blind loyalty to one’s parents (or family in general) is something that to me always seems to be brought up in negative examples: the supposed requirement of children to overlook harmful behaviour from their relatives. In other words: it’s little more than a shield to enable toxic behaviour.
