One good thing about AI and the overall enshitification of things is that it's led me to really think about what I'm interacting with and how I wanna do that. We're seeing a trend back towards real, tangible activities again and I'm so here for it.

I really dislike when clips will play a 2-second highlight at the beginning to hook you with the best part but the entire clip is only like 30 seconds so it just feels like the footage is improperly edited.

It's so great that you can play Balatro in Don't Starve Together now. I love that I can fuel my addiction within entirely different games. And I haven't even tried the Dave the Diver version yet. In 2030 every indie game is gonna come with it's own mini Balatro I guess.

- Super long skilltree beta with more forum complaints than I've ever seen in 10 years (mainly Wendy mains)
- Mod "virus" spreading throughout the community leading to a major code change, breaking tons of established mods

When I played Subnautica, I was kinda surprised that it wasn't as scary as I thought it would be. Now that I'm editing the footage, yeah nah, turns out I was just blind as fuck. 100% tunnel vision apparently. It's honestly quite impressive.

I love how everyone who's played Balatro will tell you it's basically crack, avoid if you value your time, it will consume your entire life, and everyone else is like "ok cool thanks I'll try it out tonight"

Like I did in 2023, I made my own wrapped for my iTunes music listening for the year just past. Some great albums, probably a bit too much Bon Iver but a great year nonetheless.

As much as I try to find some time to relax and unwind, I consistently find that I'm happier on days when I work. I'm very sad at this revelation.
