Although...the Senate does hold the authority to issue a subpoena compelling testimony from Pam Bondi, and refusal to comply may result in a charge of contempt of Congress. This authority arises from Congress’s implied power to investigate, an essential element of its legislative function.

I agree that action is necessary; however, Bondi either remained silent or responded to several inquiries by launching personal attacks against her questioners. It will be difficult to charge her with perjury before the Senate.
