I found this commentary odd...the man being referred to as a gracious host was also claiming that he has the power to do anything he wants. He was trashing a woman whom his government murdered. He talked about turning the White House into MarALago2 Not gracious, even if he was offering cool drinks?

Yes, it's bad. There's nothing 'appropriate' about knowing that children are being preyed upon by your neighbor, your buddy, and not alerting the authorities about it. There's nothing 'appropriate' about spending time with the victims, then walking away and doing nothing about their situation.
