I finished A Death in Malta by Paul Caruana Galizia some three weeks ago, a book harder for me to review as the story is rather close to my heart: Daphne Caruana Galizia's assassination in Malta in 2017. I'd waited for the publication for months. 1/8

Today I finished Open Door by Latifa Al-Zayyat (1960). I bought the book in Cairo without realising that I was carrying such an important work for Egyptian literature back home with me.
