Spring Migration 2025 brought rare birds, bright colors & good company. A life bird Fork-tailed Flycatcher, a bold Blue Grosbeak, & a hard-won Kentucky Warbler made it unforgettable.

Spotted a Fork-tailed Flycatcher on Randall’s Island—an incredible vagrant from South America seen in NYC since May 21! After a subway, transfer, and long walk, I made it—and so glad I did. Great views, great weather, and great birding company.
