Exploring #Utah is like visiting another planet. Every few miles the landscape shows a completely different face. There is so much to see it is difficult to choose a composition. It’s just overwhelmingly beautiful!

This view left us in awe. The details in the badlands were absolutely beautiful. As I’m writing this I realized that I don’t know what to say. The feeling while standing there comes back to memory. I need to go back…

To be honest I don’t remember exactly where I got this bolt. I think it was somewhere in southwest Kansas. Anyways. I founder on my hard drive and thought I like it.

Afternoon full of doubts turned into a great chase day. Initially a first storm of day started and looked promising, but didn’t make it. A second storm was brewing to the southwest but was struggling for almost an hour to get things done. In the end it was the right choice to stay patient.

Just moments before the Morton Wedge touched the ground wild scenes took place. The new rotation is already sucking dirt like crazy.

This storm came out of nowhere. After leaving a weakening storm we saw a towering cloud to the south and decided to give it a chance. It went from nothing to supercell mode in just 20 minutes. A chase to remember.

The first storm of the day didn’t look very promising. Fortunately there was another one forming along the dryline so we gave it a go. Soon after things got interesting with some structure and nice bolts.

Still in awe about this storm. One of the best scenes I’ve ever seen in over 25 years of storm chasing. Already linking forward to 2026 🤘

The arrival of the glorious Nara Visa supercell was already very pretty. Glad this storm moved along a road to follow it!

Things got serious when this Tornado dropped right in front of us. At this point we are looking straight to the north. Fortunately the dust wasn’t too bad at this time to get a clear view. After that dust would be a big challenge for the rest of the day. #tornado #texas

Got this dusty noodle near Akron, Colorado on May 23rd. First it was just a wall of dust but later in its lifecycle it showed us its beauty. 🌪️

On our last chase day we intercepted a slow moving storm southwest of Felt, OK. The storm suddenly gained strength and produced this beautiful tornado near Texline,TX. It lasted almost 30 minutes. Best finale of a storm season ever.

Still speechless… one of the most photogenic storms I’ve ever seen. Everything came together that day in a perfect line. What an amazing experience it was to see it with my own eyes! June 7th 2025.

Every stormseason I came across this abandoned farm house. For decades storms passed by and its standing there solid as a rock. I‘m curious what these old walls could tell…
