Apparently there are studies that back up the idea that humans, especially when only partially paying attention, will start to categorize thoughts by thresholds. Therefore, leaving a threshold (door, door frame, through a hallway, etc.) back to where you had the idea can indeed help ya remember!

Like, on one level its kind of the idea of "hey if its not hurting the dog or you whatever" and I get that, but I will say that in general, I find myself turned off and given the ick by people who have exactly ONE hobby.
Because I just can't relate, A, and B they get INSUFFERABLE (IMO).

A lot of the worst sins of AI to me are solvable. Really the main one that is the hardest is where it bumps into capital and capitalism, where people want to use it to fuck over actual workers even when they COULD pay them to do it right and better.

Mmm. I mean, to each their own. I personally have found a number of useful ways of utilizing it to assist with my own creativity. Essentially using it the same way people used old random generators for names and the like, or to visualize characters better/give a ref to an artist of a new character

What these people want, and what every company that does Gen AI art wants to do is have the ability to reduce cost, and to essentially feedify art. A lot of them don't want to think of ideas, they want a drip feed of experiences that they can create infinity with no overhead cost. Impossible.

It's one of the reasons why I think eventually AI will reach a point where it will be used more as a prototyping tool then something to "replace" art.
Mostly because, as frustrating as it is for these people, you have to actually be creative to come up with the *concept* of art as well.
