Meanwhile, in the second photo, even though the windows take up a larger ratio of the composition, you can see fine reflections from elsewhere in the cabin. It's subtle enough to break up the void of nothingness, that way it doesn't feel artificial. This is perhaps something you could consider.

See, with the first photo, the windows are absolutely not the focus, even if it its pitch outside. The leading lines of the overhead lighting draw attention towards the centre. They've also got effects and filters to soften the intensity of any deeper crushed colours.

Would you not see any kind of lighting from signage or buildings, for example? Or (if implied to be leaving or arriving at a stop) from the platform? It's just a suggestion.

I assume from the colour choice, it's meant to be night. Because you've got those massive blobs of blacks out of the windows. So perhaps you need some sort of cityscape far off in the distance? Just an idea.
