Let's get this deficit under control, by imposing the same top marginal tax rates paid in 1960, on income over $5 million.
Schedule of U.S. taxable income rates paid in 1960, showing top rate of 91% on income $400,000 or greater.

So Fields Medalists can productively add trained AI networks to their research teams but you're saying there is no way any big tech, say, marketing team could ever benefit from its software engineering liaison working with any kind of dedicated SLM agent? Surprised if that's really your view, but OK
dentonrg.bsky.social
Since you're not the type to follow along with whatever the "smart engineer" crowd is saying, perhaps in this instance it's just a lack of imagination on your part.
dentonrg.bsky.social
Because it's mostly garbage. My only point is it's not a total waste.
dentonrg.bsky.social
Good point. At least pardons can't immunize violations of state law. A lot of this administration's lawlessness seems to extend beyond just them ignoring federal law.

Our desire for accountability might rest with the Attorneys General in states affected by these admin officials' misconduct.

The "just" in "AI is just a loser aggregator" is wrong.
dentonrg.bsky.social
Yeah, mostly right on; ~97% will try using AI internally to impress managers due to otherwise dim career prospects.

But the 3% or so of those that do identify creative productive internal AI implementations could realize some outsized benefits for themselves.

💯 Senator .. seems like legislation overruling Citizens United is key to helping get us back on the right track, something that explicitly recognizes the difference between human beings and social constructs like corporations, when it comes to political spending as speech.

I'd knock doors for that.

🚨 BREAKING NEWS — Federal judge grants TRO blocking Trump from deploying National Guard troops to #Portland.

storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...
For the reasons discussed below, this Court finds that Plaintiffs are likely to succeed on
their claim that the President's federalization of the Oregon National Guard exceeded his statutory authority under 10 U.S.C. § 12406 and was ultra vires. In addition, because Section 12406 defines the scope of Congress's constitutional delegation to the President to federalize the National Guard, Plaintiffs are likely to succeed on their claim that the President exceeded his constitutional authority and violated the Tenth Amendment. Because this Court finds that Plaintiffs are likely to succeed on these two claims, this Court declines to reach Plaintiffs' arguments regarding their likelihood of success on their remaining claims. Plaintiffs also have adequately shown irreparable harm and that the balance of equities and public interest weigh in
their favor. This Court therefore grants Plaintiffs' motion for a temporary restraining order. CONCLUSION
For the above reasons, this Court GRANTS Plaintiffs' Motion for Temporary Restraining
Order, ECF 6, and temporarily enjoins Defendants' September 28, 2025, Memorandum ordering the federalization and deployment of Oregon National Guard service members to Portland. The
TRO expires in fourteen days on October 18, 2025, and the parties are ORDERED to comply with the attached TRO. The Defendants' request to stay or administratively stay the Temporary Restraining Order, see Defendants' Opposition to Plaintiffs' Motion for Temporary Restraining Order, ECF 35 at 41, is DENIED.
IT IS SO ORDERED
DATED this 4th day of October, 2025 at 3:40 p.m. pacific daylight time.

A proposed amendment must first be proposed by a 2/3 vote in both houses of Congress (or a national convention called for by 2/3 of state legislatures).

After that, the proposed amendment must be ratified by 3/4 of the states.

For all the chicken littles out there, that's never gonna happen.

In addition to voting, let's not capitulate to Executive branch usurpation of Congressional appropriation powers.

"All we can do" includes affected Blue State AGs seeking judicial relief from the third branch, as the framers intended.
