I use the futo.org keyboard on Android which uses OpenAI's open source Whisper STT model and I'm absolutely obsessed with it too. The fact it picks up the punctuation and casing and everything is brilliant. Only gripes r some words with my Aussie accent (v rare) or accidental periods in filenames 😆

@slimshaders.bsky.social quickly correcting myself, #2 should be possible as long as Nextcloud let's you set up a webhook endpoint, as Eric mentioned there'd be generic webhook support for notes and transcriptions :)

I disagree! Not the same market. They're not trying to be like other smart rings, this has a specific targeted purpose. Were it rechargeable, I'd have already pre-ordered one.

Can't comment on #1, but re. #2 I'd suspect probably not out of the box but as the app and stack is open source yourself or another dev could probably make a PR to add Nextcloud note/recording backup support to the official app.
