Finally got around to finishing this and it's very much a worthy successor to Age of Calamity. I think it struggles a bit trying to balance and develop all the new characters its forced to introduce, but still keeps them all fun to play.

The core Metroid Prime gameplay is still enjoyable, I liked the desert stuff, and against all odds it even endeared me to the NPC companions, but the overly-modernized level design coupled with a really sour finale knocks this down several notches.

Never been happier to be wrong about a game. A worthy successor to Legends Arceus while also tackling something different, and answered almost every criticism I had toward Scarlet/Violet. This is what Pokémon should be: fresh and experimental. Full review soon.
