Consciousness is a series of feedback loops on our own input. Artificial consciousness can do the same type of introspection, but it will lack most of the types of input sources organisms have, such as mobility, body sensations, chemical adjustments to bodily functions, etc. The “me” will be fake.

When does regression to the mean happen?

When my son says “I’m feeding the lizard” I look at him funny and he says “not what you’re thinking dad.”

He must be temporarily distracted with counting his money.

I’m sorry but the whole Olympics is an exercise in country supremacy. But this is sports. I’d rather have that than the current propaganda that puts criminal politicians and oligarchs above country.

I hope that when you say more please you’re talking about not just shaming these pedos into taking their money and run but actually prosecute them.

Automatized typing, wether fast or slow, seems to free up resources in the brain that can be used for reasoning. I took typing lessons and I can type without thinking about it. It’s almost like my hands are transcribing my thoughts directly and almost without my control.
