Retired and living in France, after 40 years in software across UK and 5 other countries, I became an estate agent in France from 2016-23.
QPR fan through thin and thinner.
We were outclassed. Boro looked excellent. 3-1 didn't flatter them.

He used to be a Tory. So, I don't trust him at all.

Let's hope this trend continues as their attitudes & policies are subjected to vigorous scrutiny.

Which one is corrupt? Sorry that should read which one is the MOST corrupt?

Have you spoken to the voters in Clacton?

True. But am I being unrealistic?

Isn't Farage descended from Germans? Or don't white ancestors count?

Well, the UK is now out of EU, whether we like it or not. I presume, like me, not. It's clearly causing issues but I'd be surprised if the UK gets back in during my lifetime. I'm 72.
And I don't see any substantial changes to current regime.

From a UK POV, there is a simplistic sense of entitlement. People need to understand the process.

There's a reason why they are EX Tory MPs.

Out of the mouths of babes, sucklings, and blond apologists for a complete liar.

Was it, though? Cameron said his Govt would implement the wishes of the British people. They voted Leave, so UK left.
December 1, 2025 at 7:21 PM
It wasn't populist politicians, it was the UK electorate. At least 37% of them. As they regret it now, it's too late.

The UK will eventually wake up and realise that it needs immigrants to work, pay taxes and support those in need. But, I won't hold my breath.

My initial point was more about the more recent drop than the rapid increase in the Boris wave.
November 30, 2025 at 3:18 PM
2 key points, IMHO. The substantial drop in Immigration surely stems back to end of the Tory Govt, rather than Labour harshness. The slow, steady rise of Brits emigrating.

Other than the ending of the 2 child cap, it's been a bit of a damp squib. Sure, freezing personal allowance for longer will hit. But how many will really notice when it kicks in?

Report more entertaining than the match. Again.

Many Brits buying a chateau think it will be a money spinner. Reality is it will be a money pit. And I used to work for Leggett.
November 27, 2025 at 9:49 PM
UK has always treated Europe by being semi-detached. Is it island mentality? Strange when so many Brits emigrate to EU27.
November 25, 2025 at 10:32 AM
Is that serious? FOM comes with many obligations, not just financial, that are intrinsic to EU.
