Thanks for the update. 20mm of water is almost exactly what most of the models were forecasting.

I wonder what the families of the 158 Canadian soldiers who were killed in Afganistan while fighting alongside the United States think about Trump’s statement that Canada “sent some troops to Afghanistan, or this or that, and they stayed a little back, a little off the front lines”.

Congratulations Mita!

We also had 18mm of rain in Union Square near New Germany. We desperately needed it!

Looks like yet another rainfall bust for SW N.S. All the showers over the last month or more seem to move from N.B. into Eastern N.S.

Can you turn those question marks for rain Thursday night into exclamation marks? We’re desperate for rain in southwest N.S.

Southwest N.S. is a desert. We’ve only had 14mm of rain in July at our cottage near New Germany. Our vegetable garden is not happy! We can collect 1,000L of water from our rain barrels to water the garden, but not when it doesn’t rain.

The New Germany area has only had 13mm total and the last half of June was also dry. All the heavy showers in July seem to be moving along the Atlantic and Fundy coasts.

I have an idea to reduce the amount of smoke billowing from Canada into the U.S.: impose a 35% tariff on all smoke entering the U.S. from Canada. This will encourage forest fires to move to the U.S.

How did Robyn’s Convenience survive this long? Even if they sold all of their inventory every day they still wouldn’t have had enough revenue to pay their rent.

Gardens and wells inland from Mahone Bay desperately need some rain. June was dry and only 5mm of rain so far in July. Yesterday was a goose egg 🥚 🙁

Environment Canada should start using the term “Gulf of New Brunswick” in their official bulletin for storms that move through that gulf between Maine and New Brunswick.

Mark Carney has only been our Prime Minister for a week, but he’s doing pretty good so far! At least he wasn’t kicked out of the White House 🇨🇦🍁
