Just spitballing here, but maybe a protocol-level recommendation isn't sufficient. In the future, perhaps PDS/relay implementations can refuse to process new events from DID PLC identities with active signing keys older than X days?

During these moments, I'm reminded of just how quickly the field of comp sci has advanced over the past few decades -- that we were around during the same time as computing pioneers.
