My wife and I go through a Costco 3-pack of these every week. It's so damn good.

Bold of Microsoft to be so actively hostile to Windows users during a time when cross-platform application compatibility has never been better.

Pretty neat that this uses the io_uring crate directly instead of relying on a Rust-level async runtime.

I've gotten too used to slapping tokio into my dependencies and calling it a day.

+1 on the idea of key rotations.

Just spitballing here, but maybe a protocol-level recommendation isn't sufficient. In the future, perhaps PDS/relay implementations can refuse to process new events from DID PLC identities with active signing keys older than X days?

That's true, and I think it really comes down to preferences. Anecdotally, I had 2 close friends move from 🇨🇦 to 🇯🇵 in the past 2 years. One is having a blast and the other is re-thinking things.

I think my main point is that you'll always be trading current problems for a different set of problems.

RIP Thomas Kurtz.

During these moments, I'm reminded of just how quickly the field of comp sci has advanced over the past few decades -- that we were around during the same time as computing pioneers.

Been to the EU and Japan a few times now and it's hard not to feel the same after coming back to Canada.

However, I try to tell myself that these places often have their own local challenges/problems that we don't see as visitors.

Though they definitely have the leg up when it comes to urbanism...
