You’re assuming that democratic policies are not popular with people that SOMETIMES vote republican. We know that things like increasing the minimum wage, consumer safety, financial regulations, etc. are popular.

When Obama tried to force states to expand Medicaid or lose funding, it was deemed unconstitutional and coercive despite having the legal authority to do so and a public interest. Now Trump wants to do it for political and personal gain and republicans are cheering.

I was job hunting for about a year (while still having a job). I went through multiple rounds of interviews for senior corporate positions only to have the company pull the position and say they weren’t hiring anyone. I have almost 10 years of experience and great edu credentials. It’s insane.
