I have to disagree with your take on this. The hearings served 2 purposes: to tell the world what happened and to prod Merrick Garland to get off his butt and DO SOMETHING! Once Cassidy Hutchinson testified, the DOJ actually started seriously investigating. And MG refused to go after Congress.

Keep it peaceful. Don’t give them an excuse to escalate. Keep yourself within the law, don’t let them prosecute with legitimate charges. Let them violate the law, ethics, and morality. Keep yourself out of their justification to use force.
