I agree this looks better. Are you storing is_in and is_not_in locations in different variables? I would have to try gdscript's filter myself to know what works and not

looks good! how come you have two functions which do the same thing? Is_in_country and is_not_in_country both check if the location is in the specified country. Could you not achieve a negation (check if the location is not in the country) by using the ! operator in front of is_in when calling?
