I get why they've refrained from this in Prime's debut but FPS games have made a lot of progress with movement options and Samus needs to catch up. It's time to figure out how to design the Shinespark in a first person view.

When we EVENTUALLY get to a Prime 5, it'll be high time to give Samus some big new movement options. I'm talking stuff like Neon White and Modern Doom. Samus should have long air dashes, parkour wall running, rocket jumps, stomps, fast dynamic grapple points. We need some schmovment BAD.

Some of those additions are pretty neat like making Psychic Motes with Morph Ball Bombs or giving the Grapple beam a Hookshot feature. That said, the tether points you can fling yourself with the spider ball are honestly the only really cool new addition here that I wish we had more of.

Exactly, doesn't fit the spirit of that kind of award at all. It's in a completely different weight class. Same with Debut Indie. Just makes me feel weird about the game a bit.
