Must be. But the goalie thought was going in and if you look at the replay King looks to the goal and shoots. He doesn’t try to get his foot round the ball to o cross. But only King will really know.

One thing why is everybody saying FFC didn’t have a shot on target? Am I dreaming or did Josh King have one put over the bar by the goalie? Haha. I thought at the time that was a cross but having seen replay I think he meant it.

I know this is not helpful really but watching the spurs match reinforce obvious, we have a Palinha shape hole in defence. The 2 to replace him are good in Silva’s usual tactical plan but if that breaks down. He is making Spurs much better, like he did with us.

Obviously Leno has been great for us but I think that was his worst mistake. There is no way that a shot from there should go in. No way. He had loads of time, in PL terms, to get himself right. From S. position the shot could only go one way.

First goal obviously appalling from our POV, I assumed Castagne would do a sliding tackle. Indeed I thought that was what he was going to do. But somehow was not balanced. Of course, is no way really that that should have gone past Leno.Very very poor goalkeeping. I thought ok no problem from there!

I knew you were on holiday cos of pods. Only listened on the (very poor quality, poor GJ) FFC and seen highlights so far. Not sure I will watch full length. Going to MU , Bristol City,Chelsea, Leeds & Brentford. Will judge then. Really hope above is just me being ultra nervous.

Also I’ve noticed for the first team senior players are reluctant to give him the ball when they should. Hmm.

isn’t contributing in the enough in the game, often is in the wrong place and gets knocked off the ball too easily. Glad to be wrong.

Very good pod on a very disappointing day. Oh well. Loved Sammy’s comment that the Eze goal was Malbranque-esk. He is exactly the sort of player needed to pierce their low block. He could do a bit of everything on midfield to a high level.

And me. I was 19. After the game went home and joined in in a game in our local rec.
