technically congress has written into law that any aggressive action against NATO is illegal, so if they get the order, the know they will be violating the law, and the wishes of congress (where war powers reside)

I do think, the election of Spanberger will be seen as the moment the trump project was doomed to failure, as it led to the capital being surrounded by dems, if he tries to throw out elections, be it midterms or general, it now ends one way, and not a good one for trump

I think once trump is dead, with how toxic the GOP is to independents at the moment, and how split they seem to be, even without new states (though i see dc statehood as inevitable at the moment) i think the GOP is in a dire position post 2028

The issue with cults is they fracture easily when the leader dies, and rapidly loose support and cohesion, the GOP might become a regional esoteric force no longer able to win elections, because they hitched their wagon to one aging man, with no plans on succession
