Our low temperature overnight is predicted to be 43. That will our high for the next couple of days with the low in the 20’s. Sadly I picked all the mini bell peppers and little green tomatoes since they will freeze tomorrow night. We are putting the garden to rest for the winter.

Our Redbud tree is glorious. It’s a little past its prime but still striking.

I saw an interview of John Fugelsang recently and ordered his new book. It came this morning. I decided to read a little just to see what I thought. I’m sharing this page from the beginning because, after reading the first chapter, I believe this was money well spent. I’ll post an update later.

As I was walking my dog this morning I stopped to pick up magnolia tree seed pods for decorating. I had never noticed the color on the stems before. This picture shows a seed pod with some red seeds still attached and one that shows clearly the color on the stem.

Cut a blue hydrangea blossom today to display in the living room. It’s not the largest on the bushes (10”), but it is the bluest.

Here’s our rescue dog. She’s been a part of our family for 5 years now. She only weighed 40 pounds when we took her in off the streets. Now she’s 55 pounds and healthy.
