She wanted to be in the picture.
Fun fact. All the windows have color shifting pigment in them. So when you walk by them the windows change color with the light. Very cool affect.

The year of painting. I spent New Year’s Eve with my love painting multiple canvases back to back. It felt as though a muse had sat on my shoulder and whispered inspiration.

It still is real today
I grew up in the Appalachian mountains in a small town nestled at the top of a mountain. The tragedy that struck my home towns neighboring city is something that I carry deep in my chest. I found myself mourning for my friends who lost everything. Fellow artists who had to rebuild.

The very first #bodypainting I did exactly ten years ago. Saw an ad on the street that was recruiting talent for an art show. And I signed up, never having body painted beforehand. I figured it couldn’t be that much different from a canvas. Best choice I ever made. #paintedsouls was the event.
