I love it when an author takes a character’s value system and ramps it up to absurd levels but does it so well you end up wondering if maybe the character has it all figured out and the rest of us are absurd. This works especially well in MG.

I have been personally affronted

One last mountain weekend for the summer. It’s smoky, but in the distance a cover band is playing a song from a band I loved in high school.

It’s not beachy, but it’s a heartfelt MG family story with great narrators.
